How to access Johar Town Lahore ?

If you are coming from Allama Iqbal International Airport, you can reach Johar Town in about 40 to 50 minutes, depending on traffic. From the Daewoo Express Bus Terminal, Thokar Niaz Baig, it’s even easier—almost a straight drive, taking no more than 5 minutes. Most people coming from Okara, Sahiwal, or Multan prefer Thokar Niaz Baig. Those traveling from Gujrat, Gujranwala, or Sheikhupura usually reach Johar Town via Abdul Sattar Edhi Road. People coming from central Lahore areas like Gulberg or Model Town can reach Johar Town within 15–25 minutes. And if you’re traveling along Canal Road from the Wagah–Attari Border, you will pass very close to it. You can also use Lahore Ring Road if you are coming from Kasur. That’s why most travelers don’t “plan” to come to Johar Town—they simply pass through it and then realize it’s actually a very practical place to stay.

What Johar Town Really Feels Like

Johar Town is not the oldest or most beautiful part of Lahore.

But it is one of the most balanced areas.

First View of Johar Town Lahore

When you first come into Johar Town, it gives a nice balanced feeling. It looks planned, but also feels like people have been living here comfortably for a long time. The roads are usually wide and more organized compared to older areas of Lahore, especially in Phase 2. The main roads are mostly clean, but inside streets can have some dust, parked cars, or construction work. That’s normal because the area is still developing.

In many streets, you will see trees planted outside homes, which give the area a calm and slightly green feel. In some places, these trees are well taken care of and provide nice shade. In other areas, they are still small or not evenly grown. There are also parks spread across different blocks, which help bring some fresh air and a relaxing touch to everyday life.

The view of the area is quite mixed. You will see tall, modern buildings near main roads and commercial areas, while simple 5-marla and 10-marla houses are right beside them. This mix makes Johar Town feel both residential and commercial at the same time. Places near Emporium or Canal Road usually feel more busy and more developed.

Most people here build their houses with strong materials like bricks, cement, and sand so they last a long time. Many homes are nicely planned, with gates, small garages, and sometimes an extra floor that can be rented out. At the same time, not every house looks perfect—some are brand new, while others clearly show they’ve been there for many years.

Overall, Johar Town doesn’t feel fake or too perfect. It feels natural and lived-in—clean in many areas, a bit busy in others, and always changing as it grows.
